MonierLifetile, A Boral Roofing Company, uses naturally occurring raw materials to manufacture our concrete roof tile - sand, cement and water - to which pigment is added to provide a rich palette of integral colors. In fact, concrete roof tiles are comprised of more than 75 percent sand. By comparison, other roofing products involve the less environmentally friendly harvesting of trees or the extraction of less abundant materials such as slate, energy-intense metal, or fossil fuels for the production of asphalt shingles.

Bulk raw materials used by MonierLifetile are sourced close to our manufacturing plants in order to minimize transportation emissions and pollutants, as well as fuel consumption.
